VoIP Equipment: Voice over IP (VoIP)

Voice over IP, or sometimes known as VoIP, is the next generation of telephony. TelephonesDepot.com, through its parent company Digitcom, has been selling traditional PBX type phone systems since 1991, and VoIP phone systems since 1999. We started selling Nortel's VoIP BCM system in its early days when it was first introduced in 1999, and graduated to more mature products like Avaya's VoIP IP Office system and Mediatrix VoIP in 2005. The VoIP enabled BCM system is capable of expanding to approx. 120 digital sets, and approx. 50 IP sets, and the Avaya VoIP enabled IP Office is cabale of expanding to 360 digital and / or IP sets.

Both systems support physical VoIP desk sets, and VoIP enabled soft phones. The Avaya IP Office system provides an amazing package of standard telephony features. This includes features like silent call recording, unlimited call center queues, 64 party conference bridge, and TAPI for all handsets. There are also a host of VoIP features which are optionally available. All VoIP systems that TelephonesDepot.com sells include the H.323 VoIP standard.
