Nortel Voice Mail Systems
Nortel's first voice mail system was called the Startalk. Startalk was introduced in 1990 and was discontinued in 1995. The Startalk was replaced with the Flash 2 and Flash 4 system, and the Norstar Applications Module (NAM). These products were introduced in 1995 and the discontinued in the 2003 time frame. At this point Nortel introduced the Call Pilor 100 and Call Pilot 150 voice mail systems. The Call Pilot 100 starts at 10 mailboxes and can expand to up to 40 mailboxes, and the Call Pilot 150 system starts at 32 mailboxes and can expand to up to 300 mailboxes. The Call Pilot 150 system comes standard with 2 seats of Unified Messaging and basic call center software. Starting with release 3 software, the Call Pilot 150 can be upgraded to include Enhanced Call Center Software.
